We love taking kids to camp because of the awesome impact just one week can have in the life of a camper. The focus at CentriKid is all about making sure no child leaves camp without a life-changing encounter with Christ. CentriKid staff and our church leaders will spend the week helping kids understand that God has a redemption plan for us and desires a relationship with us.

CentriKid is a high energy, intentional, gospel-centered overnight camp for 3rd-6th graders. Their mission is to help kids experience the time of their lives and learn more about the message of Jesus Christ. This takes place through track times, rec, worship, Bible study, church group time, and a variety of other fun events. CentriKid Camps are committed to providing content that is rooted in Scripture, a safe location, kid-friendly programming, and staffers who are deeply invested in your kids.

For summer 2021, the CentriKid Camps theme is “The Discovery” and the key verse we hope every camper and adult will memorize is 1 John 2:6:

The one who says he remains in him should walk just as he walked.

We need help. We need more than a how-to guide, we need an example. This summer at CentriKid Camps, campers will discover what it means to be imitators of Christ. Jesus is the ultimate example that we should follow as Christians and we will be taking a look at scriptures that help us know Jesus and walk as Jesus walked.

Here is a snapshot of where we’ll focus each day of camp:

Day 1 | Walk as Jesus Walked
If we say we are His, we must follow His example, to walk as Jesus walked. We'll answer questions like "why do we need to walk with Jesus?" and "what does it mean to remain in Him?"

Day 2 | Obey as Jesus Obeyed
We can obey God because He is trustworthy and He has a perfect plan for our lives. In Bible Study we will take a look at how Jesus faced temptation in the wilderness yet obeyed God, and in Worship, kids will see how Jesus obeyed and said "yes" to the journey ahead.

Day 3 | Care as Jesus Cared
Caring for people means seeing them, reaching out to them, and loving them. Our hearts toward people should match the heart that God has for them. Kids will study how Jesus cared for Bartimaeus, see how He washed the disciples' feet, and learn how they can truly show care to those around them.

Day 4 | Forgive as Jesus Forgave
We are called to forgive others even when it's hard. Jesus set an example for us when He shared a meal with Peter and showed him that what Peter had done would not stand in the way of their friendship. Jesus fully forgave Peter. Without forgiveness and restoration from Jesus, it is impossible for us to fully forgive anyone in our lives.

Day 5 | Speak as Jesus Spoke
Jesus is always with us to give us words of life to speak encouragement to others. Jesus spoke with understanding and He spoke words of spirit and life (John 6:63). Kids will be reminded that Jesus will go with us and give us the words to say, and they will be challenged to speak boldly just as Jesus spoke.
