YEC - Youth Evangelism Conference 

January 16th - 9:00am-3:00pm
The Heights Baptist Church in Colonial Heights, VA

  • Cost: FREE
  • SPOTS ARE LIMITED
  • LUNCH & TSHIRT INCLUDED
  • Students will need to be dropped off and picked up at The Heights Baptist Church 17201 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Colonial Heights, VA.

We have a really neat opportunity to be part of a live-stream audience for the SBC of Virginia’s Youth Evangelism Conference! This will be an amazing event filled with gospel centered worship and biblically based preaching! 

 

The theme for this year’s conference is RE:ASON and is based on 1 Peter 3:15. During the main sessions, the speaker will be sharing about:

 

-How we can trust the Bible

-How God truly does exist

-How God is good even when we experience suffering

-How Jesus is the only way for salvation

 

This is a great opportunity to be encouraged in your walk with Christ and equipped to defend your faith to others!

 

UPDATE:
Unfortunately, Pastor Mike received a phone call today from the The Heights Baptist Church, and they have decided, due to unforeseen causes, to NOT have students come be a part of the livestream audience. I apologize if this causes any inconvenience.
 
We have provided a link here — www.sbcv.org/yec — to access the livestream on your own. Perhaps you would want to get together with a few friends and have a watch party! The schedule will go like this:
 
8:55am - Livestream will start
9:00am - Session 1: Bible—God's Word or Gross Nonsense?
10:20am - Session 2: Evil and Suffering—Good God in a Bad World
11:40pm - Lunch on your own
12:20pm - Session 3: Jesus—Is There Really Only One Way?
1:40pm - Session 4: Testimony—The Power of Your Story
 
Each session will include worship and speaking!
 
Again, I am sorry for the change and hate that we will not be able to have students at this event. I hope you can join in on the livestream for all of the conference or at some point during the conference on Saturday. At the very least, will you join me in praying for the conference, that God would use it in a mighty way to draw students to Himself...Thank you!
